Venerus – Rolf Lislevand and friends

Venerus refers to a dramatic and beautiful ballade from the Middle Ages dealing with love and strong emotions, a recurrent theme throughout this concert.

Repertoire from early European genres, Baroque music and tango is fused together with Norwegian folk music, all arranged by the three internationally renowned performers, Rolf Lislevand (guitar/lute), Per Arne Glorvigen (bandoneon), and Berit Opheim (voice). The different musical styles are mixed together through improvisation and shared rhythmical features, with the added touch of musical curiosity and passion for the music and text
